As a new coach, your monthly plan may be changing pretty often as you try to hit your groove. Even for me, I find that I’m still trying to figure out what works best for each month’s goals and tasks. Please know that this is normal and if you are continuing to grow to best manage your time, this will happen.
But, having said that…Fail to plan, plan to fail, right? If you are going to run a successful business, it will require that you do things with intention. Leaving things to chance means that you don’t quite see yourself as a CEO yet. So if that’s you, let’s change your mindset! We encourage you to shift your thinking and think at least 2-3 weeks ahead. Use a handwritten or web based calendar to write down dates for your next free groups, challenge groups, team trainings and business opportunity events.
One book that is a great resources is Jab, Jab, Right Hook by Gary Vaynerchuk. He is a master at social media and having an understanding of how you should be jabbing each week out of the month is a critical piece to sharing your story with intention. Those posts on Facebook are not just for fun, y’all! You are building trust and relationships with your followers, so make every post count, even when it has nothing to do with fitness or nutrition.
Amber Bailey explains what works best for her in this 14 minute video. She likes to plan out how to jab each week, then knowing the EXACT dates that she’s posting a call to action for one of her groups or coaching sneak peek events. Then on the back end of things, she sends out at least 5 invites per day, adding at least 5 new people to her list and connecting or reconnecting with 5 people about stuff outside of fitness and business. When these things are done consistently over time, the compound effect is huge!
I share an example of what I was doing in January 2018 in this video. I’ve changed it some since then.
Don’t feel like you have to watch either of those two videos, but if you want an idea of some examples, feel free to check it out. Otherwise, refer back to your TRF Business Planner for how to structure your month.
Regardless of what your plan is, you have to EXECUTE. That will be the difference between you being successful or unsuccessful. In The Twelve Week Year, the author writes, “Execution is the single greatest market differentiator. Great companies and successful individuals execute better than their competition. The barrier standing between you and the life you are capable of living is a lack of consistent execution. Effective execution will set you FREE. It is the path to accomplish the things you desire.”
