This was our fifth trip to Fun Valley; it holds a special place in our memories because it’s the very first place we took our RV when C was 6 months old, and the boys 4 and 6. We’ve returned every summer since except last summer when we had to cancel reservations last minute.
Fun Valley is a great, restful way to end any trip. We literally don’t leave the park. We sleep later, eat way too many fried pies for every meal (from a local Amish community who delivers to FV), grill, fish, rent and ride bikes (I got a tag along for K), pedal board, play putt putt, enjoy the playground and lounge around a fire a lot! The girls swam and played in the river some, we played dominoes, the boys enjoyed several sports with other campground kids, Pappaw and Nick taught the boys strategy with playing pool, and the rest of us enjoyed the free train ride around the campground.
After two weeks on the road and many adventures and memories, we are happy to return home. Very grateful for these trips together!
And yes, I’ve already started planning trips for 2026 AND 2027. 😉
