Picky eaters?

Chances are high that at least someone (maybe you!) is a picky eater in your home. This can be extra challenging when you’re trying to eat healthier foods and plan meals. I get it!

I LOVE finding recipes that work for everyone in our home. I’ve had a pretty strict rule from the beginning of having kids that I won’t be cooking multiple meals for one sitting. Everyone might not like everything about what we’re having, but everyone is required to at least try it, or they can wait until the next meal to eat.

Yes, some fussing and crying has accompanied this rule, but for the most part, this has worked really well. In my opinion it’s worth putting in the extra effort and fighting for it based on how you CAN train your family well in this area.

However, I also try to stay committed to looking for things we all will like, and trying new things with my family. I especially enjoy finding family favorites and learning how to make them in a healthier way.

So, here are three recipes that are some of our favorites. I encourage you to try this three day challenge with your family. Adapt the recipe slightly if you need to do so – there’s no rule that says you have to include every single thing if you KNOW there is an ingredient that your family won’t enjoy (like the jalapenos in the burger recipe). But I encourage you…make the effort. Your picky eaters might surprise you, and I think you’ll find that it’s worth the fight to feed your family well and train them to eat what you serve.

Hope you enjoy! I’d love to hear which you plan to try and whether or not your family enjoys it!
